A home for those with a desire to aid others in a more tangible way. Producing and transporting goods, establishing and maintaining trade routes, securing the circulation of funds, material, and good will.Aid is not merely a fleeting gift from above, but the foundation of a system where everyone is able to contribute and prosper.

Founded as a nonprofit mercantile company based out of Shirogane, Dawnharbor Exchange seeks to provide succor to the less fortunate, primarily through low-margin commercial endeavors as a means of funding humanitarian aid... though with the star being as dangerous as it is, this does not come without risk - monetary, or otherwise.Sometimes, engagements are unavoidable. To keep shipments moving and ensuring the providing of aid, those seeking work as bodyguards will find themselves equally welcome among Dawnharbor's ranks, provided that they can follow one simple rule: seeking peaceful resolution first and foremost, resorting to violence only should there be no alternative.

Dawnharbor Exchange was founded on the idea that roleplaying is not solely about indulging in power fantasy, instead being a medium for people to collaborate and share their appreciation for writing. We want a community where characters are people, whose lives intersect with those around them, whose stories brought to the table may open more opportunities for others, while remaining respectful of them, their players, and their agency. Conflict doesn't always need to become a battle, and a character doesn't need to be the strongest person in the room to have something to offer. Likewise, we encourage people to embrace consequences of characters' choices, good or bad, allowing both triumphs and setbacks to become part of the story, rather than obstacles to it.

Many communities focus on grandiose overarching plotlines, where powerful individuals play to know the unknown, explore the unexplored, and best the worst that the star has to offer. At the end of the day, we’re all here because we enjoy FFXIV: the setting, its stories, and the characters we can create to build off of both.We instead choose to look towards the end many seem to neglect, that of Hydaelyn's people living outside of the grand stories - they whose struggles rarely, if ever, become legend. Not every story needs to focus on saving the star. Sometimes, it's enough to simply help the merchants just trying to make ends meet, the travelers wanting for new roads, or the townsfolk in need of new homes after a disaster.

Please keep explicit material out of public areas and, if you join the Discord, in the appropriate channels.ﾠCharacters and plotlines should be respectful of the setting. Bending certain things to fit your character or abilities is acceptable if you are able to justify it with existing parts of the story, and it does not contradict established lore.ﾠAvoid metagaming, god-modding, or anything that would be disruptive to other peoples' enjoyment.
